Last month’s BLOG, Can We Function Without Thinking, explained that the universal Mind responds before the thinking mind. This month’s BLOG answers the question, responds to what?
Most take our precious five senses for granted utilizing their gift only at the most basic, mundane level. The five physical senses of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell provide our interface to the everyday world. But our senses can provide us so much more when we’re prepared to explore their role in consciousness more deeply.
The universal Mind is the first to respond to the inputs our senses provide us. The universal Mind takes no action, it only observes. It’s the thinking mind that takes action: Did that taste good? Should I be concerned about that sound? Do I like what I see? It hurt when I touched that hot kettle. That smell reminds me of my mother’s cooking.
Unfortunately, for most people, the thinking mind immediately grabs onto the sense’s inputs and starts to evaluate, compare, and judge – we’re no longer present. This limits our ability to experience the depth of our senses. If we were able to experience our senses with no thought and remain present, they become Gateways of Pure Consciousness. (Last month’s BLOG presented an easy method of disempowering the thinking mind in favor of universal Mind.)
Experiencing deeper reality happens naturally when we spiritually Awaken, but glimpses of deeper reality emerge as we pay more attention to our senses. We palpably experience deeper reality through our expanded sense inputs. We realize there are more than just the five physical senses when our awareness expands to experience deeper reality. Two of those new senses that will come to the forefront for Awakening humanity are intuition and imagination.
Humans have always experienced flashes of intuition. Intuition is that “knowing” when there is no logical reason we should know. We talk about this in martial arts all the time. We say, trust your instincts. Some people’s intuition is more finely tuned than others. As humanity awakens in consciousness, everyone’s intuition will be fine-tuned into a new and powerful “sense”. We will learn to trust and use this new sense to guide us along our life-path.
Without imagination there would be no great human inventions or achievements. Imagination has always been part of the human experience. The Sky’s the Limit they say. Whatever you can imagine, you can create. Dreams become reality. Most people would say that imagination is not a sense. But, as humanity awakens, our imagination will play a larger role in setting the course of our personal and collective human journey. When the universal Mind is in the forefront, your imagination puts powerful universal forces to work manifesting whatever you wish for.
It really takes nothing more than paying attention. Our senses are tools of consciousness. Sharpen these tools and your life will be enriched.
